Get inclusive! Everyone eats vegan food
These classic dishes are inherently vegan (or easily made so with a few simple switches)
◗ Falafels (egg free of course!) – home-made or bought in. Serve with harissa sauce and Middle Eastern mezze dishes - great for small plates or big ones
◗ Hummus,olives and many other Middle Eastern side dishes, as above!
◗ Grain dishes: rice, cous cous, barley, quinoa and bulghur: risotto; tabbouleh; tagine etc. Switch butter for oil, vegetable stock for meat, vegan parmesan for regular... etc! Click here for a host of delicious grain-based dishes

◗ Curries and dhals - and countless dishes from the Indian sub-continent and elsewhere. Just omit butter ghee, yoghurt, cream, eggs - use vegetable oil and offer vegan yoghurts made from soya or coconut milk based yoghurt.
◗ Pizza Make your own dough or buy in dairy and egg-free bases. Add artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers and so forth. Use vegan mozzarella or Violife vegan cheese.
◗ Pulses: beans, peas, lentils. Try puy lentil salad with walnuts, balsamic vinaigrette and roast vegetables on a bed of leaves. Or a Moroccan Chickpea & Vegetable Stew flavoured with saffron and served with harissa paste. The possibilities are endless!
◗ Sausage and mash - use vegan sausages (bought or home-made) and replace butter with vegan margarine and/or olive oil. Try these recipes Nutty Mushroom Sausages or Seitan Sausages (wheatmeat) or Spicy Sausage
◗ Spaghetti and tomato pasta sauce – made from roast or fresh tomatoes with a handful of basil and plenty of black pepper. Add interesting additions, including olives, artichoke hearts, sundried tomaotes, grated vegan cheese or cashew cream
◗ Roast vegetables – serve with dips, sauces, interesting bread, a pulse dish or a grain dish for a more complete meal.
