Hope and her piglets are safe now in their forever home. Sadly, the lives of Britain’s farmed pigs couldn’t be any more different …
the sad life of Britain's pigs
Tails are cut off and back teeth clipped to try and prevent abnormal behaviours that are caused directly by boredom and unnatural conditions on farms. To remain legal, all farmers have to do is hang as little as a chain to meet the minimum "environmental enrichment" required.
There is another way
Please never underestimate what you can achieve by simply changing your diet. Going vegan is the single most powerful thing you can do to end animal suffering, protect the environment and improve your health. Forget the authorities; there are hardly any prosecutions for farmed animal cruelty in Britain each year. For farmed animals you are their only hope. Please try vegan for their sake.
