Debbie did her first gig with her father Eddie’s big band aged 7, by 18 she had turned professional and was working with the legendry Ten Years After guitarist Alvin lee on her first solo album with her then band Platinum Blonde! Debbie went on to release a jazz funk album with backing band the Gangsters Of The Groove and had success with a number of singles released from the album. She studied Fine Art and Music, specializing in music from 1938 – 1950 and Cuban Rhythm’s, she later went on to study The Psychology of Criminal Profiling, which she says gave her some great food for thought when it came to writing lyrics.
Debbie is a Big Band MD, arranger, conductor and composer for film, theatre and television. She is a talented pianist, guitarist, arranger and score writer for Big Bands and small ensembles.
Debbie took over her father’s Big Band, now The Debbie Curtis Radio Big Band, when he passed away and performs and records in venues including The London Palladium, Pinewood Studios, Shepperton, BBC TV and Radio and also at international events.
Debbie has worked with many artists including Joan Rivers, Jools Holland, Jonathan Ross, Chris Evans, Glen Tilbrook, Corey Conradi to name but a few and has recently composed, produced and edited the TV Music and Theme for the television series History of The World with Warren Clarke.
Her other interests include the spiritual side of life, which she says is all about leading a good ethical and moral life. Debbie is an avid supporter of Viva! and other animal charities and animal welfare, often speaking out against the unethical treatment of animals – she has a small menagerie and is a vegetarian, she has also written for The National History Press on Big Band and Dance Band history, and at present has just begun to study for a Private Pilot’s License.

After five years on the road as a musician, Chris diversified into the business side of music. Once described by Melody Maker as a studio guru, Chris has worked with many famous names, in one capacity or another, including The Enid, Bert Weedon, Kim Wilde, Marty Wilde and the Wildcats (a band he was a mainstay of for many years), Robert Plant, Squeeze, Odyssey, Lee Scratch Perry, Robbie Coltrane, The Beautiful South, All About Eve, Paul Young, the Communards..........
He has lectured at London’s MBS (Music Business School) and wrote for various magazines including Billboard’s ‘Studio‘, before moving to Athens to produce music for Greece’s biggest TV show. One show led to another and he stayed on, working with the biggest names in Greek music.
In the new millennium he returned to the UK and took a sabbatical from music to concentrate on writing a book. His first novel To Bathe In Eden’s Glory has just been published. Chris currently resides in the depths of Devon where he has built a new studio where ‘All The Same’ was recorded.

Nigel entered the music industry at 17, initially touring on crews for artists and hire companies. Intent on management, he made a point of learning from any manager he crossed paths with. Credits include Brian Connolly of The Sweet, Fisher-Z, John Otway & Wild Willy Barrett & Vanity Fayre! Nigel now concentrates solely on Debbie Curtis and the DCRBB Music Organization
