Vegetarians International Voice for Animals

Alec Baldwin

Every time sitting at a dining table, we make a choice. Please choose vegetarianism. Do it for the animals. Do it for the environment and for the sake of your own health."

American actor Alec Baldwin has starred in many films including Beetlejuice and The Hunt for Red October, and was also in the television drama Knots Landing. He was diagnosed in May 2011 as prediabetic and immediately set about changing his lifestyle, making the switch to veganism.

Baldwin's career started when he landed a role on the soap opera The Doctors. In 1986, he made his Broadway debut in Loot, which won him a Theatre World Award. His film debut was in the movie Forever Lulu (1987). Since then, he has demonstrated his knack for comedy as one of the stars of the popular ensemble sitcom 30 Rock. With his distinctive, deep voice, Baldwin has also done voice work for documentaries and animated films, including Madagascar 2 and Rise of the Guardians.

Off-screen, he is a dedicated animal activist and has shown much support for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
