'Come and be tickled' offer from Veggie group

Release date:
Friday, January 7, 2005

Self indulgence, pleasure and a tickling of the taste buds is being offered to the people of Birmingham and Solihull this January in an attempt to get them to change their diet and go veggie. It's about giving up the bad things in life, not the good! - another amazing fact from the Incredible Veggie Roadshow, which comes to Solihull this January. "On tap will be everything you ever wanted to know about going, being or staying veggie " or moving in that direction', say national animal campaign group and organisers Viva!.

There is a mind-blowing array of veggie foods available to suit every taste and occasion " and a fair few of them will be available to try free of charge. Everyone, from the righteously health conscious to the gloriously decadent, will be sure to find something to get their juices flowing. Beanies Health Foods and Redwood Whole Foods are amongst the companies offering delicious veggie burgers, bangers and rashers " but without the artery-busting fat and cholesterol. For the sweet-toothed, luxury Booja-Booja truffles will be there for the tasting - like a carnival on the tongue!

Cookery demonstrations will give the culinary illiterate a fun but informative shove down the road to healthier eating.

The Roadshow comes to Solihull on Saturday, January 29, 2005 from 10am to 5pm, at Shirley Methodist Church, Stratford Road, Shirley. Entry is free.

"Food, glorious veggie food!" says Juliet Gellatley, Viva!'s director. "It's healthy, affordable and delicious " but don't just take my word for it, come along to the Solihull Roadshow and taste for yourself, free of charge!'

The Incredible Veggie Roadshow is organised by Viva!, and sponsored by Viva! and the Vegetarian & Vegan Foundation.
