Being
a vegan used to mean difficulties in finding decent natural skincare
products. Although there are now a handful of companies making natural
skincare ranges which are also ethical and vegan, there is also the
option to make your own.
This way you can ensure the finished potion is every bit as ethical,
wholesome and vegan as you desire it to be.
If you think homemade skincare isn't very glamorous, then try this
exotic face or body lotion.

The Holistic Beauty Book is a marvellous manual for
skincare with a 'clean conscience'.
The recipes are luxurious creations that avoid synthetics,
petropharmaceuticals, preservatives and slaughterhouse
by-products.
Totally vegetarian (and mostly vegan) they are divided into
sections for body, hair, face, hands, feet and treats. The recipes
are easy to understand, creative and fun.
I tested the Glorious Mud mask, which feels like it's sucking
grime out of your face, leaving it feeling squeaky clean, and the
Ultra-Cleansing Oil, which is the best thing I have ever used for
melting off makeup (even thick eyeliner and mascara!). |
