About the walk
Viva! team Justin, Kat, Sam, Laura, Sandra, Chelle and Stuart completed a 12 mile walk on 8th September 2012 to raise awareness of the badger ‘culls’ planned for the Autumn in England - the root of the problem being dairy consumption (see the website for more info: www.viva.org.uk/badgers)
We be handed out leaflets and were joined for some of the walk by a giant badger! A nice cooling pint of cider was enjoyed by all at the end. See photos below.
The 12 mile walk was through beautiful countryside, home to badgers. It followed the River Frome from Bristol to Yate where many badgers have been spotted as they live on either side of the river.
Thank you if you were able to sponsor us – and helped us exceed our £500 goal. However, more funds are desperately needed – so please do continue to give to help us stay effective champions of British wildlife and farmed animals.
