Badger cull

Perhaps the most important email you will ever send for badgers!

The Government's badger 'culls' have been a disaster. Yet they still may press on with more across England later this year. We can't let that happen.

On March 13, MPs will debate the results of the recent IEP report that found that the pilot 'culls' in Gloucestershire and Somerset failed by even the Government's own criteria. This is our chance to derail plans for future 'culling'. Please let MPs know how you feel about the issue and to ensure that they attend the debate and stand up for badgers.

What will be in your tea when they come to gas the badgers?

The guns have fallen silent over Gloucestershire and Somerset. For now, badgers can slumber peacefully throughout the winter months, but what is to come next spring? We shouldn’t take the ending of the ‘cull’ earlier than intended as a sign of complacency or an admission of defeat by the Government. If anything, the resolve to continue – and expand – the killing fields next year has taken on a new zeal.
