Become a School Speaker

Northerners, your schools need you!

Become a school speaker and help kids make a positive difference in the world.

Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Friends Meeting House, 6 Mount Street, Manchester M2 5NS

Viva!'s School Speakers Training Day 2011 will be held in Manchester in September.
Watch this space for further details.

Come along to our School Speaker Training Day on September 10, 2011 (10am-5pm) at the Manchester Quakers Friends Meeting House, 6 Mount Street, Manchester M2 5NS and learn how really engage younger people with the world around them. Empower them to make healthy decisions about environmental, human and animal health by showing them the benefits of a plant-based diet.

This fun, informal day is filled with a wealth of information that you can take away with you. We’ll walk you through a cookery demo – something that most schools request – as well as a mock talk so that you’re well equipped and rarin’ to go by the end of the session. We challenge you not to be inspired!

We are so excited to be hosting our School Speaker Training Day in Manchester as our trained speakers in Northern England and Scotland are often overstretched and unable to meet demand. Please do put the date on your calendar if you live in the Midlands, Scotland or anywhere in between. We’d love to see you! Of course, everyone is welcome, though, so don’t be shy.

The Friends Meeting House is behind the Manchester Central Library and close to the Town Hall and Albert Square. There are bus, tram and rail stops close by.

Tickets are £10 waged and £5 unwaged. The fee includes materials, refreshments and a catered lunch. For more information and to buy tickets, call 0117 970 5190 (9am-6pm Mon-Fri), purchase online below or email Kat Himmel on kat@viva.org.uk. Hope to see you soon!
