Great news! Bolivia is rejecting fast-food chains.

 

Bolivia has become the first Latin American nation to be McDonalds-free after the multinational closed its eight restaurants. The whisper is that seven other countries will also be stripped of their golden arches.

So disbelieving are people that there has been a rash of investigations and a documentary trying to find the reasons why Bolivians refuse to surrender their empanadas. One blog says: “Fastfood represents the complete opposite of what Bolivians consider a meal should be. It has to be prepared with love, dedication, certain hygiene standards and proper cook time.
