Statement: donations from Heather Mills

Europe?s largest animal campaigning organisation Viva! have released the following statement regarding donations received from patron Heather Mills.

Founder and director, Juliet Gellatley, said: ?Following Heather?s remarkable performance on American television show, Dancing with the Stars, in April 2007, I can confirm Viva! received her appearance fees in full as a donation, after Government tax deductions.

?The work Heather has done to actively help our campaigns against factory farming and promote vegetarianism has been an enormous boost to Viva!. The fact that she has volunteered her time to us over and over again ? particularly as it has often been during a difficult period in her life, is very much appreciated. Her contribution towards our campaigns has been invaluable.?
