Health Campaigner/Nutritionist vacancy
Part time and full time applicants considered. Starting salary range: £17,000 to £22,000 (or pro rata).
VVF, an exciting, national health charity has a vacancy at its HQ in Bristol. If you’re a committed vegetarian or vegan and would enjoy taking to the nation the message that a veggie/vegan diet is the healthiest possible – this could be the job for you!
The applicant should have an academic qualification in a nutrition/health/life sciences field – and be able to interpret published academic health studies (mostly on the effects of diet on health) and preferably experienced in some of the following:
- research – on a range of diverse health and nutrition topics and writing referenced reports
- devising and organising campaigns and events – aimed mainly at the public but also sometimes to schools/health/food professionals
- writing – being able to produce copy for guides and leaflets, also articles and news pieces for a Viva!life magazine (some training will be given)
- media interviews (training given)
- public talks
- answering enquiries – from the public and professionals
Essential skills are being competent with a WP, creative, efficient, organised and highly motivated! We need a friendly, outgoing and positive team player who wants to help create a healthier, compassionate veggie world!
