COMMENTS
1847 Bistro is the first Manchester bar/bistro dedicated to a meat-free diet.

The owner has been vegetarian for close to 22 years. The head chef has been vegetarian for 20 years. Her style of food is British which is normally left well behind in favour of Far East or Italian cuisine when vegetarian dishes are put together.

All their food & drink menus have been checked and certificated by the vegetarian society, meaning absolutely everything served is suitable for a vegetarian diet.

Everything is vegetarian and GM-free.

Food items are free of unacceptable additives e.g. artificial sweeteners, colours and preservatives.

Eggs for sale and served in the café must be organic and free range.

COMMENTS
Lovely modern Oriental decor in a basement restaurant in the city centre (not far from the Town Hall). Large veggie menu, most of which is vegan. Food was some of the best Chinese veg*n I've ever tasted and reasonably priced. Not sure of opening times, not on website, so phone first. Not sure if there is disabled access either, so check that also.
