COMMENTS
It is a country park cafe. Small but run by very friendly and helpful people. The food is great! It is the only place that sells dairy free ice cream in this area. It is a wonderful setting for fresh air and excercise. It is also great for the kids to let off steam. There is also a nice park.

COMMENTS
Fortify Café is Maidstone's newest and first vegetarian eatery, offering some of the best home-cooked food in a relaxed and stylish setting.

From a tasty lunch to an indulgent slice of cake - drop in, chill out, stay and relax or take-away.

We cook from scratch everyday and although our menu changes frequently, we always have homemade spicy bean burgers, wholemeal quiche, frittata, soup and sandwiches.

Afternoon tea just got cool with a traditional loose-leaf brew and organic fairtrade coffee.

Enjoy with a slice of one of our homemade cakes ? chocolate honey cake, carrot cake, lemon drizzle cake, date & oat slice, brownies & muffins.

FOOD

Type of dishes on offer: This is a kind of grocers, so it sells everything from canned goods to fresh fruit and veg to a selection of tapas-like items such as marinaded artichokes, stuffed vine leaves, olives, sun-dried tomatoes etc. There are also hand-cooked vegan-friendly crisps, snacks and drinks. Vegans and vegetarians can buy plenty here, and can eat very well. The fresh vegetables are fantastic, especially the tomatoes (and especially if eaten with their fresh-baked rolls).

COMMENTS
The meal comes in small dishes, so is made up of several tapas-style portions all priced according to the type of food. Green beans, for example, are cheap, whereas tofu is more expensive. It can get pricey if you're in a hungry mood but it all tastes fabulous. The miso soup in particular is delicious, and as you pay less than £2 for a refillable mug it's very good value.
