Celebrate 15 years with Viva!

Invitation to Viva!’s 15th anniversary celebration dinner

Saturday, 5 September 2009, 6pm–1am, Circomedia, Portland Square, Bristol BS2 8SJ

Have a fantastic feast with an exotic twist and help Viva! celebrate our landmark 15th anniversary. And raise funds for our new ambitious campaigns to end factory farming and animal slaughter.

We have a special evening planned with a magical Moroccan atmosphere. Starting at 6pm with champagne and a talk by our Patron, Heather Mills and myself, we will then be served an Eastern extravaganza! The delicious vegan meal includes canapés, hors d’oeuvres, main courses, desserts and of course, delectable vegan wines. We will enjoy a hypnotic Belly Dance performance accompanied with live Arabian drumming. As this is an extra special celebration there will also be a disco and vegan bar, an authentic Bedouin Café with delicious sweets and Arabian teas and coffee and a cosy chill-out area. There will also be an auction, raffle and after dinner speakers, including our wonderful Patrons Wendy Turner Webster and Michael Mansfield QC, actor Gary Webster and BBC TV presenter Sarah Jane Honeywell. Winners of our special Viva! awards will also be announced.

The wonderful menu from vegan party organisers, Harem Nights, includes 16 delectable dishes from: give-me-more Moroccan soup to a delicate Tagine to delicious Sahlab (vegan rice pudding with rose water, nuts and cinnamon), Egyptian cakes and Baklava.

The venue is an unusual and beautiful 18th century church in Portland Square, Bristol used as an arts and training centre for Circomedia. It has been painstakingly restored to its former glory but with all the modern comforts of a 21st century venue – including a sprung dance floor.
