So join us for an inspiring and entertaining evening of Cookery Demonstrations by Viva! patron, vegan campaigner, restaurateur and Dancing on Ice star Heather Mills, plus Talks from Viva! founder & director, Juliet Gellatley (8-10 June) or Viva! associate director, Tony Wardle (15-17 June).
Plus: free delicious vegan food samples from Redwood Foods and a wide range of merchandise and campaigns info from Viva! and VVF.
Doors open 6.30pm at all venues (except Birmingham - open at 6pm)
Talk: 7pm-7.35pm (Birmingham 6.30pm-7.05pm)
Juliet Gellatley (BSc Zoology and Dip Nutrition)
Wheat-eaters or Meat Eaters?
Juliet will be tackling the myths that we are 'meant' to eat meat and dairy, after all that's the way we're designed, isn't it? She will explore what really is a healthy diet with a fun quiz - find out how near or far you are from the perfect diet!
Tony Wardle (author of environmental report, Diet of Disaster)
Saving the World With Your Knife and Fork
Almost every one of the world's exploding environmental catastrophes has its roots on the dinner plate! Tony explores how grazing for meat and dairy animals and growing vast areas of soya and other animal feed are inexorably destroying planet Earth. And he offers the solution: change your diet - change the world!
Cooking Demonstration: 7.40pm-8.40pm (Birmingham 7.10pm-8.10pm)
Fun, Fast, Fabulous Fruity Funday Food! Making it dead easy to go and be vegan
The emphasis is on simple and delicious; quick and satisfying - even to the most ardent carnivore! Heather will be demonstrating popular dishes all tested at her VBites restaurant, such as:
- Beefy Style Strogonoff
- Lemon grass style chicken
- Sweetcorn & chicken style chowder
- Vegan Sag Paneer
- Chicken style creamy nut korma
