Veggie/Vegan Climate March – Saturday 8 December
Be part of history and march with Viva! at the National Climate March on Saturday 8 December in London .
Up to 30,000 environmentalists are expected to join the National Climate March on Sat 8th December 2007 to demand that world leaders take the urgent action we need to prevent the catastrophic destabilisation of global climate. The National Demo in London will be one of many demonstrations on climate taking place all around the world on the same day midway through the UN Climate Talks in Bali.
We’ll be representing veggies and vegans and asking the government to take livestock farming seriously as a cause of global warming.
We’ll be meeting at Millbank at 12. It’s likely to be really busy so it might be a good idea to get banners and leaflets in advance – contact Oriel at oriel@viva.org.uk and she’ll send you some.

Viva! have produced two fantastic new leaflets, and a poster, we can send you for free. The best thing for showing your friends, work colleagues and family that there’s no such thing as a meat eating environmentalist! In turn they can send off for a free pack with all the tips for living a lip smacking, animal protecting and planet saving vegan diet!
The DL (small) leaflet is ideal for door-dropping in your local neighbourhood. Even just half an hour of your time can make a world of difference – and take this planet saving message to a receptive audience who might not have otherwise heard it.
Our larger A5 leaflet has more in-depth information on how meat and dairy consumption are at the heart of most of the world’s current problems – and offers practical advice on what each individual can do to readdress the balance. These are not suitable for door-dropping (as they are relatively expensive), but are ideal for giving out to people at meetings, at school or at work.
We’ve also produced some very eye-catching “Meaty you’re making me HOT!” posters, which will make a splash wherever they’re displayed.
