How I am Donating

If members could please contact me by email and any painting for sale on my page (which has not had any proceeds donated to a charity- will be mentioned in the description) and I will give 10% to Viva!. For commissions however I will donate 20% to Viva! exclusively for members.  Each month I will organise from the sales how much is to be donated to Viva!.

I moved from my hometown in North Nottingham to study History of Art in Norwich and when I'm not working, or surrounded by books and assignments I love to draw, paint and have become known as the Crazy horse lady because of my love for the gorgeous creatures. My aim is to delve into the myths and legends of many different cultures and incorporate them into bright colourful pieces of art.

I am always painting horses  (mainly Friesians and Arabs the moment) which will be appearing over the year. Most of my work is based around animals but in the future I am hoping to extend my work into more creative spheres so keep your eyes peeled for future work coming up! I am also available to take commissions so if you are interested please email me at b.daws@hotmail.co.uk.

Why I am Vegetarian/Vegan

I have been a vegeatarian since I was 16 and have never looked back. It all started when I wanted to lose a few pounds and I picked up the book Skinny Bitch. The writer’s no nonsense approach opened my eyes to the way animals are actually “used” and abused within the food industry and the alarming standard at which they are looked after during their short life. It simply made me realise what lies we were being fed to us time and time again, (whoever said cow’s milk is great for calcium needs to think again!)  Also if America has very relaxed laws on the slaughter of animals and our food how does that compare in England? Where most of our food is raised abroad and shipped over. I am currently trying to remove the standard student diet I have adopted and finally become a vegan.

Why I am supporting art for animals

I love Viva! and the work and support they offer towards animals, vegans and vegetarians alike which is why I want to support them with their work. I am unable to subscribe and offer money every month so this is my way of giving something back.
